More school cuts

I'm sure this is not the end of the cuts. Isn't time to allow people to rent their property, creating jobs and revenue to keep schools open?

Priority #1

The #1 Priority is to organize and repeal the Sauk county ordinance that prevents law abiding property owners from renting their property without a special exemption permit. While there are those that will say that the law is designed to keep short-term rentals, which the neighbors don't want (can you think of ANY reason that a neighbor would WANT their neighbor to rent on a short-term basis?). What they DON'T say is that the law has been perverted into a 21st century JIM CROW law that is designed to allow for legal descrimination and must be repealed. I don't cry racism at the drop of a hat, nor do I think that everyone associated with this law is a racist. However, after the evidence is presented it will be clear that this law CAN be used in this manner and therefore must be repealed. Our society does not allow housing descrimination, or the appearance of discrimination. I urge the readers of this blog to call or email Sauk County Chairman Marty Krueger at MKrueger@co.sauk.wi.us or (608) 963-3565

A quick note. There are those that will try to make this about me personally. That is just non-sense. This is about where we are as a society and if we are going to allow a few racist force their will on the rest of us. This would mean JOBS and REVENUE for all of us with no change to the zoning or the properties.

Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to discuss some of the political, social and economic issues of Sauk county. Most important at this time is to change some of the laws in Sauk county that are designed to keep minorities out of certain parts of the county.

While a vast majority of Sauk county residents do not have a racial agenda, there are the few and small minority (and you know who you are!) that have managed to make enough of a fuss about anything that bothers them that they actually have laws to "protect" them from change. Given the state of the local, state and national economy, my proposed changes make perfect sense and will create revenue and jobs for Sauk county residents. Additionally, these jobs and additional revenue will help get the schools properly funded and get people back to work. IF any of our local politicians want to go on the record and vote against jobs, then it is all of our responsibility to vote them OUT of office.

There is much to discuss, but I don't want to put it all on one post. Feel free to comment and ask questions.

Thank you.
